Logrono - plaza.
I am sitting in a "pub" on the side of the cathedral plaza (Plaza del Mercado) on a Sunday afternoon and have just oredered a three course lunch (menu del dia 10 euros), which includes a full bottle of wine. These daily menus are wondeful, especially if you're on your own (more wine!!) The waitress strikes up a conversation, impressed that an Australian speaks spanish. My entree - anchovies and roasted-cured red peppers in olive oil and balsamic viagre (a generous serve). Main - Filleted fish in a very nice tomato and onion suace (but very subtle, not too much. Postre - yogurt (plain, and very nice). Excellent coffee, and the full bottle of wine - which I didn't finish!(From diary)
